It's been eight years since Robin died. The years have been good and not so good as is life in a nutshell.
I've done a few mead perks similar to one's posted, but last week, I cracked out a new one: cherry bomb mead! Whoo hoo! I pulled out the kitchen sink on this one folks so I'm not sure if it's going to pull off or not, but here is what is in the batch:
15 lbs honey
32 oz. Cherry Berry Blend thawed fruit mix
3 jars (33.8 oz) tart cherry juice
3 jars (33.8 oz) black cherry juice
1 jar of ghost pepper jelly
A steeping of 10 bags hibiscus tea, nutmeg, cardamom, and cinnamon sticks
I wrote out steps for later if it works out. Pretty enthused on this one and back sweetening with firewood honey.
